Conveyor-integrated wrapping for high-throughput lines
An inline pallet wrapper wraps loads as they move along a conveyor, with no operator and no stopping the line. It is the end point most growing warehouses and 3PLs eventually reach, and it makes sense once you are consistently above roughly 40 pallets an hour.
Emmoco supplies inline wrapping systems across Australia, integrated into your existing conveyor network and commissioned on site by our own technicians.
When an inline wrapper is the right call
- High-throughput distribution centres running continuous dispatch
- Manufacturing plants with automated end-of-line logistics
- Cold chain packaging and export freight where speed matters
- Operations where you want the operator out of the wrapping cycle entirely
Below 40 pallets an hour, a turntable or rotary arm machine will be cheaper and simpler. Do not buy inline before you need it.
What you get
- Fully automatic film application, cutting and sealing
- Adjustable wrap tension and powered pre-stretch
- Infeed and outfeed safety systems
- Conveyor synchronisation for smooth transitions
- Compatibility with stretch film across a range of gauges
- Scalable configuration for future line changes
Getting the integration right
The machine is the easy part. The work is in matching conveyor heights, throughput timing and safety interlocks to what you already run. We will assess compatibility with your current conveyors and floor layout, plan the install, and handle the safety compliance side before anything ships.
Frequently asked questions
How many pallets an hour can an inline wrapper handle?
Depends on the model and wrap pattern, but inline systems are specified from around 40 pallets an hour upwards. Tell us your target throughput and we will size the machine to it.
Will it integrate with my existing conveyors?
Usually yes. We check conveyor height, width, speed and control interface before quoting. If something needs modifying we will tell you upfront rather than on install day.
What power supply is needed?
Inline systems are three phase. We confirm the exact requirement as part of the site assessment.
How long does installation take?
Longer than a standalone machine because of the conveyor integration and safety commissioning. We give you a firm timeline as part of the quote.
What about servicing?
Our own Australian technicians, not a subcontractor. We hold wear parts in Melbourne and dispatch same day, which matters a lot more on an inline machine because a stoppage takes the whole line down.
Should I hire one first?
Inline machines are not practical to hire because of the integration work. If you want to test the business case, hire a turntable or rotary arm machine first and prove the volume.
