Why Sydney 3PLs buy machines

Two numbers usually drive it. Hand-taping a carton takes 15 to 25 seconds against 2 to 3 on a sealer, so at 500 cartons a day that is roughly two hours of labour back every shift. And hand-wrapping a pallet burns 30 to 50 percent more film than a machine with powered pre-stretch, because a person cannot hold consistent tension.
